Petteri Asikainen Syklo’s head of technology

At the beginning of June 2023, the team at Syklo received new reinforcement, as an experienced circular economy expert, engineer Petteri Asikainen joined the team. Asikainen’s role is to lead the company’s technological development and preparing and implementing technological investments.

Asikainen last worked as a development manager at Remeo, where he was responsible for developing solutions for circular economy technology, preliminary evaluation of projects, and directing certain partners in project implementation and launches. Prior to this, he has worked in sales and planning and project management positions for industrial investment goods at Valmet, Marioff, Hägglunds Drives, and Metso. Asikainen has also gained experience with international customers and projects in his career.

The circular economy field is in the middle of a major turning point as various materials processing solutions are being developed at an accelerating pace worldwide. At Syklo, we have already looked into a wide range of solutions and have discovered that the degree of completion of different technical applications is rather mixed. We have also seen how many parts of the world are not very progressive when it comes to the circular economy. When we combine this with Syklo’s ambitious growth strategy, we get to add an exquisite package to develop Syklo’s range of technologies!

Asikainen lives in Eastern Uusimaa in Pukkila, his work is based out of the Helsinki office, and he will also be spotted at Rusko. Asikainen has two teenage sons and works on and rides motorcycles in his free time. He also enjoys the outdoors, music, and playing instruments.
