Career advancement for Antti Mattila—becomes project manager
Syklo’s team’s current production engineer Antti Mattila will become the project manager at the beginning of June. Until now, Mattila has supervised the maintenance of the Rusko sorting plant and has been responsible for various development projects.
In line with its growth strategy, the company has a clear objective to invest in new production technologies in order to develop the volume, recovery, and recycling rate of its operations. With Mattila’s appointment, we are getting a capable expert from our own team who will work closely with the recently appointed Head of Technology Petteri Asikainen and, of course, the rest of the Syklo team. Asikainen manages Syklo’s technology development activities and now Mattila will strongly support that and take over the preliminary assessment and implementation of certain projects. Given the large number of Syklo’s investment plans and the size of the projects, we will naturally also need external resources to support implementation.
“It’s great to get to support the entire Syklo team in implementing the growth strategy and be part of developing the implementation of tomorrow’s recycling technologies in Syklo’s operations,” comments Mattila on his new role and his thoughts on it.
Mattila will continue to report back to Circular Economy Manager Heikki Harju-Autti. “Antti has proved to be a good team player and a highly motivated professional in technology development who is extremely familiar with different technologies and able to operate in an international environment,” shares Heikki Harju-Autti.
Strong and seamless teamwork based on a low hierarchy is at the heart of Syklo’s operations. The aim is to further develop this so that together we can respond to the sector’s rapid development. Production Manager Elle Niemistö has reorganised the maintenance supervision Mattila was previously in charge of. Eetu Hämäläinen and Jyrki Mäkelä have also been closely involved in this work.
